The olive grove
We grow olives in Val di Noto and in the Province of Catania, on the land at the feet of Etna.
So, we produce two different types of olive oil; we cultivate the most secular variety Moresca and the round Iblea in Val di Noto, and Nocellara and Brandofino in the Etna area.
The olives of Mortellito are processed within 6 hours from the harvesting. After cold extraction, the oil is stored in stainless steel silos where it settles naturally.
The oil is bottled either in glass bottles or aluminium cans depending on the demand.
